The Origin Story

"It started in a bedroom in Rhode Island, with Teen Vogue ads torn from the pages and plastered to the wall."

Growing up, secondhand wasn't a trend — it was just how we shopped. Growing up around old money meant learning how to look the part without the budget. Finding something at the thrift store, holding it up next to a magazine spread, and figuring out how to make it work. That resourcefulness became a skill. That skill became an eye. That eye became a career.

The love of secondhand never went away. Still posting thrifted OOTDs — but doing it long before it became a TikTok aesthetic. Never a trend. Always an ethos, rooted in creativity, sustainability, and a deep belief that style shouldn't cost what the labels say it does.

That belief shaped everything: founding NUDA, building GiveWhere, and the approach to fashion marketing today — with respect for the craft, an instinct for what's real, and a clear-eyed view of where the industry needs to go.
